The Fondation du maire : le Montréal inc. de demain is primarily a team that includes permanent staff and a Board of Directors. All these individuals are driven by a common goal: to support young Montrealers in their dream of starting up a business.

Liette Lamonde, CA, Executive Director

Liette joined the Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain in May 2004. She completed studies towards a Master's degree in Law, hold a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and is a chartered accountant. Before joining the Fondation, she was Director of Research and Political Analysis with the Union des producteurs agricoles, Executive Director of the World Trade Centre Montréal and worked for the Government of Canada in positions related to SME financing.

Pierre LeBlanc, Head Volunteer

Pierre LeBlanc is in charge of recruiting new volunteers, business people of diversified backgrounds and expertises, who would help the Fondation by evaluating projects, becoming mentors and coaches to Fondation grantees, and chair on organizing committees of our fundraising events. His career spans more than 30 years and is highlighted by executive positions in some of Québec’s finest companies, including CIL, Agropur, Natrel inc., Fonds de solidarité FTQ and Emergis inc. One of Québec’s pioneers in the field of Human Resources Management, Pierre LeBlanc now chairs on the Board of Directors of the Fondation du maire and, since 2003, on the Board of the Dr. Maurice Bertrand Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping patients suffering from pre-terminal or terminal cancer.

Nicolas Morand, Business Financing Director

Nicolas is coordinator of the Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain team of advisors and works on the development of partner and donor relations. He joined the Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain team in May 2005. He holds a Bachelor's degree with a major in Economics and International Development from the University of Toronto and pursued his upper secondary studies at the ÉNAP. He worked for the Québec Youth Fund till November 2000 where he successively held he positions of Project Manager, Team Leader, Assistant Executive Director and Executive Director. He also has experience working on the international scene.

Anne-Laure Boutouiller, Entrepreneurship Coordinator

Anne-Laure has been working as an Entrepreneurship Coordinator since March 2011. She holds a Master's degree in Marketing and a Bachelor's degree in Business-oriented Computer Sciences. Formerly Manager of a Trade division in London, Anne-Laure has also worked in Montréal in the corporate events sector as a Business Development Coordinator. Her career path has been enhanced by her experience in local economic development in France and in Montréal at the CDEC Centre-Sud/Plateau Mont-Royal.

Kim Desaulniers, Entrepreneurship Coordinator

Kim has been a coordinator for the multicultural and entrepreneurial sections since November 2004. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from UQAM. She was a trade attaché at Québec's General Delegation in London and has also worked in positions related to customer services and business development in Mexico and Montreal.

Denis Karegeya, MBA, Entrepreneurship Coordinator

Denis joined the Fondation du maire: le Montréal inc. de demain in April 2003. He is a coordinator for the entrepreneurial section. He holds an MBA from the HEC and an advanced graduate diploma in Finance. In the past, Denis worked as a Financial Advisor for Investors Group and was also responsible for a business assistance programme for 4 years in an industrial promotion center in Burundi.

Adya Afanou, Communications Coordinator

A graduate of UQAM’s Bachelor in Business Administration program and of Concordia University’s Graduate Certificate in Event Management and Fundraising program, Adya joined the team in January 2008. After being in charge of fundraising for a theatre company, Playwrights’ Workshop Montréal, for more than two years, Adya now puts her knowledge and skills to the benefit of the Fondation as the Communications Coordinator.

Mélissa Lubin, Assistant

Mélissa graduated from the Université de Montpellier (France) with a Master's degree in Applied Languages and International Projects Negotiation and she joined the Fondation in March 2011. Formerly Executive Assistant for Guadeloupe's “Nouvelles Semaine” magazine, Mélissa has been active in several countries and sectors, including specialized transportation and logistics services, tourism, and community services. Her background and experience keep up her primary objective: that of working intelligently and constructively in favour of humanitarian and community causes.
